Section Head: Interventional Cardiology Clinician-Educator
The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator as a medical director in a nationally renowned cardiovascular institute and interventional cardiology program . Candidates may be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. In addition to the medical director, responsibilities include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the ambulatory clinic, as well as assisting with oversight of the interventional cardiology programs system-wide. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine, have completed ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship programs, and hold current board-certification in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Candidates will have experience in clinical trial leadership with a robust bibliography of peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate productivity and the ability to obtain extramural funding support. The successful candidate will be a clinician or clinician scientist with an interest in transcatheter valvular heart disease, and will coordinate quality in the system-wide interventional cardiology programs. He or she will be an outstanding clinician and have experience mentoring trainees and junior faculty. Clinician scientists considered for the role will have a strong portfolio of funding and will integrate clinical expertise and research within the ongoing work in the Division of Cardiology.
