The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Northwestern University invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position. Primary duties include conducting research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and data science, advising and mentoring students, and providing service to the department, the college, and the university. A Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Preferred research areas include machine learning, modern causal inference, and other emerging topics in data science/Al. Exceptional candidates in any area of statistics and data science will be considered. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.
