Inpatient Oncology Consultation Clinician-Educator
The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This role is focused on guiding patient-centered care for hospitalized patients with advanced cancer. Responsibilities include providing consultative services to established oncology patients with solid tumors who are admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In close collaboration with the outpatient clinical teams, this person will manage treatment-related toxicities as well as symptoms from cancer progression and end-of-life discussions. The candidate will participate in teaching, research, and clinical trials. Our facilities include a modern 900-bed teaching hospital, outpatient clinic, extensive basic research facilities and a large cancer center supported clinical research office. Qualified candidates will have their MD, board certification in medical oncology, and licensure. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $310,000-$370,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
