Faculty Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Outpatient Psychiatry and Collaborative Care Services
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, seek a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator track at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This position is intended for a child and adolescent psychiatrist with an interest in collaborative care who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine campus. Responsibilities include primarily outpatient clinical and teaching duties, as well as shared coverage of other clinical services for which training in Pediatrics is desirable. Scholarly activity is expected. Qualified candidates will have completed or soon to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship with outpatient experience and have demonstrated ability in teaching/supervision with a commitment to participating in an academic medical center environment. Candidates should be energetic and motivated with a desire to build programs that will improve mental health care quality and access for the pediatric community that we serve and who possess the ability to work collaboratively with primary care and specialty pediatrics to improve care. Crisis evaluation and treatment experience (ideally pediatric hospital-based) and board certified or eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry required. Experience with clinical research, project development and fluency in Spanish would be a plus. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States, licensure in Illinois and Lurie Children’s medical staff membership. Full-time position. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will remain open until filled.
